Aryana Goodarzi

Ary Goodarzi (they/them) is a queer Iranian writer and filmmaker. 

 

Ary is the director and executive producer of Queering Tattoo Culture, a docuseries they created about queer Middle Eastern/North African tattoo artists and tattoo culture (like how the experience of agency tattoos provide can get you to a place to pursue other forms of gender affirmation, and how more queer MENA tattoo artists will affect tattoo culture). Episode 1 is out and Episode 2 is currently in post-production.

Ary is currently developing a number of experimental and narrative short film projects.
